Slow-Cooker Taco Seasoned Shredded Beef

  • 2 ½ - 3 lb roast (chuck roasts are my favorite for slow-cookers)
  • 1 cup beef broth (or water)

  • Taco Seasoning
  • ½ cup chili powder
  • ¼ cup onion powder
  • cup ground cumin
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp paprika
  • 1 Tbsp sea salt

  • Taco Seasoning
  • Put all of the seasonings into a jar and shake
  • Slow-Cooker Shredded Beef
  • Add roast and beef broth (or water, if using) to slow-cooker
  • Sprinkle a thin layer of seasoning over the roast and add it to the slow-cooker, along with a cup or so beef broth (or water).
  • Let it cook 4-6 hours, with a little bit of water, or until beef is cooked through and shreds easily when removed.
  • When there is about 30 minutes left (the roast is fork-tender) shred it so the pieces are able to soak up the juices.
