Peanut Butter + Cocoa + Banana Oatmeal


  • 1 cup milk (regular or plant-based)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 banana, mashed
  • 1 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • pinch of ground cinnamon
  • salt, to taste

  • Toppings
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp peanut butter (or other nut butter)
  • 1 Tbsp milk (regular or plant-based)


  • In a saucepan over medium heat, bring milk, water, and a pinch of salt to a low boil
  • Stir in the oats, mashed banana, cocoa powder, and cinnamon
  • Reduce the heat and simmer, uncovered for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally
  • Remove from the heat, cover and let stand 2-3 minutes
  • Spoon the oats into bowls and top with sliced banana
  • In a small bowl, which the peanut butter and milk; drizzle over the top
  • Sprinkle with additional cinnamon
