Do you make gingerbread houses around the holidays?
I've tried a few times in the past, running out of creativity or patience long before it was finished. But I've always loved to see other people's creations
Now I realize where it all went of awry. I simply needed friends who are chefs and a much larger Lowe's budget for building supplies
My goodness, these featured in the Smithsonian Magazine this week. WOW, they're nothing short of incredible: The Impressive Results of When You Ask Architects to Build With Gingerbread
Whatever you do, watch the video at the end of the White House Gingerbread House
While we're talking houses made of gingerbread
A new Guinness World Record was set on Saturday in Bryan, Texas
The house is 22 feet long, took thousands of pounds of sugar and flour. Almost a ton of butter and 7,200 eggs
Not to mention it'll set you back about 36 million calories
(AND .. it can house a family of five)
Happy Christmas Eve!
xoxo
