Old-Fashioned Glazed Ham Balls

Ingredients
  • Glaze
  • ½ cup vinegar (any kind)
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 or 2 Tbsp mustard (wet, not dried)
  • Ham Balls
  • 3 pounds freshly ground smoked ham
  • ¾ -1 pound of fresh ground pork
  • 4 eggs
  • 1½ cup whole milk (or 2%)
  • 2 cups bread crumbs (gluten-free if you're avoiding gluten)
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 350 deg F
  2. Glaze
  3. In a small saucepan over low heat, add the glaze ingredients and gently stir to combine
  4. Cook, stirring occasionally until the sugar has dissolved
  5. Ham Balls
  6. Mix ingredients together and form individual balls.
  7. Cover and bake for 20 minutes.
  8. Uncover and bake another 30 minutes (they should be beginning to brown)
  9. Drizzle most of the glaze over them and continue to cook for another 20 minutes, or until done.
  10. Serve the remaining glaze with the finished ham balls
