Calculating a Recipe’s Nutritional Information

I'm being asked more and more

Nutrition Data

(This post may contain affiliate links)

That fun recipe you have?  Will you please post its calorie information?

Of course, but let's spin the question ever so slightly before I do

(One woman's humble opinion)  “I don't count calories, per se.  They are definitely one part of the equation, but by no means the driving force in my daily eating.

A calorie is a calorie is a calorie just isn't true.  What really matters is how we fuel our bodies, rather than how many calories we consumed in our day.

It's a fundamental shift in thinking

Now, one definitely doesn't want to go overboard.  Too much of a good thing is still too much.  When I was figuring out this new way of eating, I DID count calories and measured portions until I got the hang of it.  For example, what does a serving of chicken look like?  How much food is 300-400 calories?”

So instead, I'll refer to it as the nutrition information.

Nutrition Information 3

For some reason, pulling it together in a simple way is plaguing me.  Utopia seems just out of reach

Don't get me wrong, there are lots of places on the web for food stats, but I've yet to find one that has a slick interface, or a majority of the ingredients I use.  Without being time intense for data entry

So I'm curious

What have you used?

xoxo
